Coconut coir dehydrator: the core equipment for efficient treatment of coconut coir dehydration and desalination

Desalination and dehydration are crucial processes in the processing and utilization of coconut coir, directly affecting its quality and application range. The specialized high-pressure roller press for coconut coir desalination and dehydration, as a highly targeted and efficient processing equipment, is gradually becoming the core equipment in the coconut coir processing industry.

1. Feeding system: This system is equipped with a specially designed fabric dispenser, which is used to evenly distribute the coconut coir to be processed on the filter belt. The fabric dispenser adopts a unique spiral mechanism, which can refine and level the coconut coir wet residue material (or solid mixture), ensuring that the residue material is evenly spread on the lower filter screen. This design can make the subsequent dehydration and desalination processes more uniform and efficient, avoiding poor treatment results caused by uneven material accumulation.

Water filter belt component: The water filter belt is one of the key components of the equipment, consisting of an upper mesh belt and a lower mesh belt, both of which have a surrounding mesh belt structure. The mesh belt material is made of high-strength, corrosion-resistant, and well permeable materials, which can withstand the pressure of high pressure on the rollers and ensure the smooth discharge of moisture and salt through the mesh holes. The lower mesh belt receives coconut coir from the fabric dispenser, while the upper mesh belt cooperates with the lower mesh belt to effectively wrap and press the coconut coir during the pressing process.

2. Desalination unit: The desalination unit is the core component for desalination of coconut coir, including a dehydration zone and a separation zone. There is a set of pressure rollers in the dehydration area, which is generally composed of an upper pressure roller and a lower pressure roller. When the upper and lower mesh belts carry coconut coir into the dehydration zone, the pressure roller group overlaps the upper and lower mesh belts to preliminarily dehydrate the coconut coir between them. Due to the majority of salt being dissolved in water, a large amount of salt can be filtered out during the initial dehydration process. The separation zone is located at the rear end of the dehydration zone, where a water spray is installed to humidify the lower mesh belt. The humidified coconut coir further dissolves its salt, creating conditions for further desalination in the future.

3. Dehydration unit: The dehydration unit is installed on the frame and includes a large screening roller and at least one pressing roller group. The squeezing roller group is usually composed of an inner pressure roller and an outer pressure roller, with the inner and outer pressure rollers respectively pressing against both sides of the filter water mesh belt. After being processed by the desalination unit, the coconut coir is overlapped again with the upper and lower mesh belts, and then passes through the large screening roller and each pressing roller group in sequence. The surface of the large screening roller is equipped with multiple punching holes. During operation, the moisture in the coconut coir falls into the interior of the large screening roller through the punching holes on the surface of the large screening roller and is discharged side by side. Subsequently, the coconut coir passes through multiple pressing roller groups, and each pressing roller group increases the pressure in turn to further remove the water from the coconut coir, allowing the salt content of the coconut coir to be discharged with the water, ultimately obtaining coconut coir products with lower salt and moisture content.
